Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is not only great because of the fat meal we're all bout to eat, but because we get out of school. I personally am not going out of town anywhere, but I know others are. Today was the Thanksgiving lunch. I got two lunches because its so good. On Thanksgiving day my family typically stays with the traditional meal: turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, green beans..etc. What does anyone else eat?..Or do you go out tot eat?

Obama!

Since we live in Decatur, one would see mannnny Obama signs, stickers, and t-shirts everywhere. Many of us stayed awake Tuesday night anticipating who would be in control of America. Obviously, Barack Obama won and therefore making most Americans happy. I for one was happy that he won the election 08' and is now the first African American president. Was anyone else happy?...or were they wanting Mcain to win?

The changing weather

Since its now almost November, the weather is starting to chnage. The coldness is sticking to my steering wheel in the morning, and I can see my breath when i drive to school. Personally, winter is not my favorite season..I dont mind it but its not my favorite. Underdressing in the winter just feels aweful. What season does anyone most prefer? I like the spring when it starts to warm up. Does anyone like winter?

If you grew up with a Nintendo Entertainment System in your house, then you no doubt remember the Zapper, the gray (or bright orange) light gun that let you shoot at ducks, bull's-eyes, and banditos. After almost 20 years, Nintendo has brought the Zapper, at least in name, to the Nintendo Wii. It's available in stores today for just $20, and it includes a free game, Link's Crossbow Training.

Instead of a light gun, the Wii Zapper is a simple gun-shaped plastic shell that houses the Wii remote and nunchuk attachment for use in certain shooting games. Simple, curved, and white, the Zapper fits perfectly with the Wii's aesthetic. Despite its vague gun shape--it loosely resembles a Capone-era Thompson submachine gun)--the Zapper's profile is nowhere near as menacing as the original Zapper's. Frankly, it looks more like an abstract sculpture than a gun, all rounded and white with nary a sharp angle to be seen.

The Lottery

What if you were huddled around your t.v. watching the lottery balls pop up..You see that your numbers match the ones of the screen and you just won the lottery. What would you do? Me personally, I would immediately save most of it, and invest the money at an early age. Investing money at an early age benefits you greatly when you're older. I would also of course buy a new car and other items that I want. What wold anyone else do with the money? Would fall into the same boat with the other 90% of people who go bankrupt within the first year?

School lunches

I know there has always been debate about whether Decatur's school lunch is good or not. I personally generally like the food. My favorites are hot dog, nachos, and chicken Parmesan. Some people think the food is tasteless, greasy, unhealthy, downright disgusting, or not worth 2 bucks. Sometimes I can agree with the, however other times I enjoy the food. A lot of people go in the fry line and get fries, tender, cookies, ice cream, etc. I think that that is a waste of time because I personally cannot have a lunch of just fries. What does anyone think about the school lunches?

Slow people

you know what really makes me mad.. is when slow(usually large) people walk incredibly slow up the stairs or in the halls. I mean, I'm not trying to get to class that fast.. but I am trying to be on time. Some folks just block up the whole stairwells and just walk.004 mph up the stairs. Its like people done pay attention to who's around them and how inconsiderate they're being...Does anyone else agree on what I'm saying

eating out

Usually every night my parents and I go out to eat for dinner. While most people go out once or twice a week.. we go at least 6 times. My number one priority in life is eating good food. I'm glad my family values food, and wont settle for something terrible. Some of the places we hit more frequently then others are:Taqueria Del Sol, Meltons, Taco Mac, Lil Azios, Fellinis, Willys, and Thinking Man Tavern. These are places were my family goes because my mom is too lazy to cook. Due to the fact that there are always meetings, games, practices, or other get togethers,. there is never enough time to cook. Despite going out to eat costing more.. i think its worth it to taste the restaraunts food and enjoy the whole atmosphere. Where does anyone else like to eat?..Or do you prefer to eat your mama's home cooking?
